Sai Hing Traditional Herbal Bak Kut Teh (Serves 2-3 persons)

 

Ingredients:

- Mixed spice pack

- Polygonatum odoratum

- Dangshen

- Red Date

- Angelica, 

- Rehmannia

 

Efficacy:

- Promotes the production of body fluid,

- nourishes blood,

-  invigorates the spleen, 

- expels cold,

- improves vitality

 

Target Audience:

Suitable for all ages

Good for children

 

Cooking Method:

  1. Blanch 1 kg meaty pork ribs/lion’s mane for later use.
  2. Put all the herbs and mix spices pack into 1.8L of water and boil for 15 minutes.
  3. Add 10 crushed garlic bulbs (for vegetarians may omit)
  4. Add in the pork ribs and cook for another 45-60 minutes. Add a dash of salt and soy sauce to taste.
  5. Add your desired vegetables, dried bean curd, enoki mushroom etc. (optional)

 

Storage Method:

It is recommended to store in a refrigerator at a temperature of 4 degrees Celsius. Avoid storing too much food in the refrigerator to ensure effective cooling.
