Tranquility Mixed Grain Porridge - 养血安神粥

It has natural grains such as:

  • Japonica Rice: rich in antioxidants and protein.
  • Millets: helps lower blood sugar.
  • Brown Rice: rich in minerals like calcium and iron.
  • Red Dates: help strengthen the immune system.

Ingredients: (Recommended weight/unit, can be adjusted according to your tastes/liking!)

Tranquility Mixed Grains – 1 cup, includes the following: 
Japonica Rice
While Rice
Brown Rice
Red Bean
Black-eyed Pea
Red Date

Things that you can add for a better taste.
Sesame Oil (amount based on your own preference)
Sliced Pumpkin – 150g
Sliced Red Dates – 30g

Yield: 1 full cup of grains is for 3 - 4 pax depending on how thick the porridge is.

Preparation Time: 30 minutes for soaking the tranquility Mixed Grains

Cooking Time: 45 minutes 


Step 1. Soak 1 cup of Tranquility Mixed Grains for 30 minutes. Then, add the grains into the pot with 4 cups of water. Boil and simmer for 45 minutes. 

Step 2. Add sesame oil, 150g of sliced pumpkin and 30g of sliced red dates. Stir well and let it cook for the remaining 20 minutes.

Step 3. Mix well and garnish with some red dates. Ready to serve!
